June 26, 2016, Bridgetown, Barbados – Following a string of successes and international certifications including receiving Green Globe Gold award, the Business Excellence award for best company performance status in the first ever Hospitality Assured awards (H.A), its TripAdvisor certificate of excellence 2016, Atlantis Submarines now adds another Business Excellence Award for Direct Tourism Services from the Barbados Hotel and Tourism association. The award is judged from a field of members who have to provide evidence to show that the company provides high quality service, safety, reliability, environmental consciousness and the ability to participate and support all aspects of the work of the association.
At a ceremony July 23rd 2016, the company was presented the award at the biennial BHTA awards by the sponsor Sugar Bay Barbados. The entire management team was on hand to receive it and it was indeed a double celebration for the team as the general manager Roseanne Myers rose to the Chairmanship of the Barbados Hotel and Tourism association, which represents the first time in the organisation's 64 year history that someone not associated with a hotel has taken on the leadership role. A constitutional change was effected by then Chairman Sunil Chatrani in 2014 to make this constitutionally possible. This represents the first time in the Caribbean region that this has been done as well.
Atlantis Submarines Barbados is located in the Shallow Draught Bridgetown, Barbados and the tour is operated on Freshwater Bay Reef which ironically gets its name due to rain water ending up on the reef.
